Valid 2026150+ Questions with detailed explanations. Realistic timed simulation.
About this Exam
The Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) validates your ability to turn raw data into meaningful business insights with Microsoft Power BI. The exam covers the full analytics workflow: connecting to data sources, cleaning and shaping data in Power Query, building a well-designed star schema, writing DAX measures, and presenting the results in reports and dashboards. You will be tested on choosing between Import, DirectQuery, and composite models, profiling data quality with column quality and column distribution, creating relationships and hierarchies, and using time intelligence to compare periods. On the reporting side, the exam covers selecting the right visual for a question, drillthrough, bookmarks, sync slicers, and the AI visuals such as key influencers, decomposition tree, and Q&A. The final domain covers the Power BI service: workspace roles, apps, subscriptions, endorsement, sensitivity labels, scheduled refresh, gateways, and row-level security. The four exam domains are: Prepare the Data (25-30%), Model the Data (25-30%), Visualize and Analyze the Data (25-30%), and Manage and Secure Power BI (15-20%).

Exam Tips
Know exactly what each Power Query data profiling option shows: column quality, column distribution, and column profile are all tested
Study workspace roles (Viewer, Contributor, Member, Admin) and pick the least-privileged role that satisfies the requirement
Understand how row-level security behaves with multiple roles (the filters are combined with OR) and with bidirectional relationships
Learn which visual answers which question: forecast needs a line chart, key influencers finds top segments, decomposition tree explores hierarchies
Distinguish endorsement (promote, certify) from sharing, apps, and featured content — several questions hinge on the difference
